Description of the job:
– Reviews the Client’s and the Contractor technical documentation and requirements
– Issues project piping material specification in accordance with process data
– Issues valves datasheets
– Issues special piping material datasheet
– Help on piping MTO (Checks the material take off issued by piping, answer to questions…)
– Quantities management for all piping components (bulk, valves and special material) for requisitions
– Studies of vendor offers for all piping components
– Checks documents issued by vendors after purchase order (analysing and validation) for all piping components
– Management of vendors and contractor deviations
– Answers to questions of others disciplines (purchase team, instrumentation, pressure vessels, rotating, project, process, inspection…)
– Performs wall thickness calculations of pipes and branches calculation with in-house tool as per B31.3
– May be responsible for entering piping material specification and management of MTO and requisitions in Marian data base
Requirements:
A degree in Mechanical / Chemical / Material Engineering with at least 3 years experience in major oil/gas projects in the capacity of Piping Material and Specification Engineer in detailed engineering environment.
Good knowledge about International codes and standards for piping material.
